Step by step guide on how to set up the moinAI live chat
Step 1: Activate the live chat

Access the Livechat menu item.

Click on Request Package to apply for activation of the live chat function.

The live chat is set up by the chatbot owners. Once the live chat has been requested in the hub, the Customer Success Team will activate the function within one working day.
Step 2: Add live chat agents

The activated live chat can now be configured in the menu item Bot Settings → Livechat.

Click on Add Agent to select an existing user of the chatbot that should function as a live chat agent.

Afterwards, select the group.
Note: When live chat is activated, a default group is automatically created to manage the live chat agents. -
The selected person is added via the Add Agent button and appears in the agent overview.

Step 3: Configurate Livechat Agents
Live chat agents and chatbot owners can customise their name, profile picture and language skills. The configuration of live chat agents is described in this article.
Step 4: Create a form for the live chat
To trigger the live chat, it must be embedded in a form. The creation of a form is described in this article.
To quickly activate the live chat form for testing purposes, it is advisable to add the live chat as a quick reply button in the conversation. The link is described in this article.
Step 5: Testing the live chat

Live chat agents are offline by default. The agents can be set to online via the crossed-out headphones in the header of the hub.
Note: Live chat agents can be turned offline in the same way.

Use this tab
Live chat agents may be logged into multiple tabs simultaneously in the Hub, but as agents they can only be online in one tab. With the Use this tab selection, agents can easily switch the tab in which they are online. -
A click on Preview in the header of the hub opens the chatbot in a new tab. There, the live chat can be tested.

- The incoming enquiry is accepted in the Livechat menu item under the Waiting for Response tab by clicking the Start Chat button.

- The live chat conversation is ended by clicking the Close button.

🚀 Done! Live chat is now successfully activated and configured.
